And the horses! These are healthy well-cared for horses, whose personalities are well known to the wranglers. It was an honor for me to ride Pam's "baby" Pebbles, a kind and thoughtful Appaloosa quarter horse mare. From the smaller, sweetly sassy Haflingers to the huge, kindly Brabants, there's an equine for every type and size of rider. Good instructions were given before the ride regarding basic horsemanship, as well as the particulars for each of our horses.

A wonderful ride in beautiful weather on sacred ground with a top notch horse farm and knowledgeable battlefield guide - what better way to spend 2 hours?

I became overheated and asked for help right before we started. The horse wanglers were knowledgeable in first aid and quickly got me off the horse, gave me a Gatorade bottle, and got me to a vehicle with AC.

I stayed behind so my family could go on the ride, and Pam, the owner, personally checked on me in my vehicle about an hour after I went there to rest and recover.
Turns out I was having some medication side effects that contributed to rapid heat exhaustion.

This is a very safe family activity with a very experienced guide and staff.
